Montana Board of Horse Racing.

December 30 - Friday

Attention Site Managers: The Montana Simulcast Network will close after December 31, 2011. The plan is to close for a few months while the Montana Department of Livestock works on the financials for the Montana Board of Horse Racing. The Montana Board of Horse Racing is working on other ways to open a few of the sites, possibly under new simulcast network management.

Please make sure to send in all of your W2g's to IMS Racing so they can be filed with the IRS !

November 30 - Wednesday

Simulcasting calendar for December 2011 has been RE-POSTED. We corrected the "Saturday Afternoon" and "Saturday Evening" performances for Gulf Greyhound Park. Gulf Greyhound Park is dropping the Matinee performance on SATURDAY's and moving the Evening performance to start at 5:00 p.m. Montana time and then an ENCORE performace (4 more races) after the Evening performance... Please print another calendar for your staff and patrons.

November 29 - Tuesday

Simulcasting calendar for December 2011 has been posted. Only 1 calendar was posted with all the types of simulcast races. If you post individual calendars for Thoroughbred, Harness and Greyhound racing, email Tom Tucker at tomptucker@gmail.com and request individual calendars to be posted. Please print out a calendar for your simulcast site. Thank you. Make sure to also print out the new DECODER schedules for December and the start of 2012.

November 1 - Tuesday

Breeders' Cup programs are posted for Friday and Saturday to be run at Churchill Downs. Please note there are two style of programs. The original style that you currently use and an expanded style with Additional Past Performances. Thank you.

October 25 - Tuesday

Calendars for November 2011 have been posted. 1 calendar with all three signal types, 1 calendar for greyhounds, 1 calendar for horses, and 1 calendar for harness. Print out a calendar for your simulcast site. Thank you.

September 29 - Thursday

Calendars for October 2011 have been posted. 1 calendar with all three signal types, 1 calendar for greyhounds, 1 calendar for horses, and 1 calendar for harness. Also, decoder usages have been posted. Print out a calendar for your simulcast site. Also, print out a decoder listing and post it for your managers. This will help them keep track of which signals are on which channel. Thank you.

August 24 - Wednesday

A new addition has been made to the racing programs. In the upper right hand corner is a mark that can be used by smart phones to automatically go to more information about this race on the web. Try it out !

Re: Belmont Race 3 Trifecta Refund May 18, 2011
On May 18, 2011, the trifecta pool in race 3 at Belmont Park was inadvertently refunded, cashing was stopped at 2:19:13pm, the issue corrected, revised prices, including a trifecta price, was sent out at 2:27:36pm. Any winning ticket cashed in the above mentioned time period is due the difference between the refunded amount and the calculated winning amount per ticket. Your money room will have these funds via their settlement with NYRA as the correct liability is within the settlements. We request customers with ADW functions, to scan your accounts to determine who received refunds that were not eligible for such, and adjust the accounts accordingly. You may submit your claim for overpayment along with substantiating evidence to:

April 18 - Monday

Good afternoon everybody!

This is an important change that was made by the department of livestock's centralized services department. For internal control reasons, they want you to start mailing the weekly simulcast checks to them directly and no longer to me. They will then process them and notify me of payment. You will need to attach the corresponding weekly reconciliation total sheet off of simulcast.com, with the corresponding check and mail it to:

It is imperative that you include the weekly reconciliation sheet with the check so Twila understands what the amount and the check is for. This cuts out the process of me depositing and then sending the corresponding paperwork to her. Please start this process with last weeks simulcast. I appreciate your help in this and if you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

Also, would everyone be available for a conference call next Wednesday ( April 27) at 3PM? If so, I would like to start meeting with you by call on a monthly basis to get input on signals, site concerns, etc from everyone at the same time. Let me know what you think.

Two NEW site forms have been added, How to use the Equibase Speed, Pace and Class Figures and How to Read the Program. Both of these publications can be helpful to your patrons. Please print them out and have them available whereever you distribute the simulcast program. Thank you.
