Company Profile Profile

Montana Simulcast Partners is a non-profit corporation formed by the live race meets in the state of Montana to conduct simulcast wagering on a year-around basis in the state.  By state law, 3% of all exotic wagers and 1% of all wagers must be set aside each year to be distributed by the Montana Board of Horse Racing back to the industry in the form of purses and assistance to the live race track.  MSP has been in existence since 1989 and since then, over 10 million dollars has been generated for the live horse racing industry in the state.

Directors of Montana Simulcast Partners

Each live race meeting in the state of Montana has a Director on the Board of Montana Simulcast Partners.  They meet approximately 5 times a year.  Officer elections are held each September.   Current members of the board are Bill Nooney, Sr. President representing Western Montana Fair Race Meet in Missoula and Vice President Ben Carlson, Yellowstone Horse Racing Alliance in Billings.  Directors include Bill Ogg, State Fair in Great Falls, and Don Richard from Miles City and the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale Company.

Each Director has an equal vote in the operations of Montana Simulcast Partners.  Any amounts of money above and beyond the legislative requirements are distributed to the racing industry twice a year.  Once at the end of May, representing profit from October 1 thru May 31, and during the summer, representing profit from the summer simulcast schedule, June 1 thru September 30.
